There are 3 days of quality orienteering coming up for the Jubilee Weekend: one in Devon and two just over the border in Cornwall. Note that the closing date is this Friday (in time to gauge numbers for printing maps). I’m not aware there will be any entry on the day, so this will be your last chance to enter.
For those that don’t know about the Tamar Triple, it’s a weekend of events put on jointly by Kerno and Devon every 2 years on the late May Bank Holiday weekend (or equivalent).
It is open to all -not just the elites or experienced. There are the normal colour coded courses on offer. See: www.tamartriple.org.uk and click on the ‘2022’ tab.
This year an urban race at Tavistock is Devon’s contribution on Friday 3rd June. Parking and facilities are on the Community College site which should make for a pleasant arena, and close enough to the historic town centre to visit afterwards.
Day 2 is at Leskernick Hill on Bodmin Moor, which is very close to the A30, so should be as quick to get to as some Devon events! A new area, which promises fast running.
Day 3 is at Mt Edgcumbe, just in Cornwall, across the Tamar- worth visiting just for the views across Plymouth Sound and up onto Dartmoor.
